I occasionally stop and say hi when paddling my kayak around the lake if they were on their dock. Gloria and Jack are both always very friendly, and nice to talk to.
Once about 4 years ago when talking to them, Gloria said “have you heard about the Goat Olympics?” Followed up with “they are happening this weekend at the Fairgrounds, you should come, it is a lot of fun!”
My daughter and I went to the fairgrounds, and decided that we should find Jack and Gloria before looking around. We went to the goat barn, and we found them. Gloria was trying to put a dress on one of her goats. The goat wasn’t having any of it. Jack was helping, but the goat was winning. I decided to leave before they asked me to help wrestle the goat. Talking to Gloria later, she said that the goat did win, but they all had a fun time anyway.
I also saw Gloria walking her pony around the lake a couple times. She would stop to say hi and talk for a minute. Such a nice and friendly lady!
